Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Wednesday 4th June 2014 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Cllr. Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs. M. Coulson, D. Knott, Mrs. B. Bower & the Clerk.
Cllr. Mrs. S. Howe, Mrs. A. Hatfield
There were 2 members of the public.
Cllr. Mrs. Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Police and Public Time
There were no Police present.
APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
None.
DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
Cllr. Mrs. Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk and finances.
MINUTES OF LAST MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING
The minutes were read and duly signed by the chairman.
There were no matters arising.
NKDC REPORT
NKDC report was presented by Cllr. Mrs. Howe.
Local activities can be found on the NKDC website.
NKDC are commemorating Armed Forces Day. Also asking for nominations for community champions of which there are 6 categories. Info on website.
The new local plan is being launched on 5th June at the Lincoln Hotel 2.30 -7pm
HIGHWAYS MATTERS
A report of the site visit was made by Mr. Warwick. An email from Kyra Nettle from Highways was read out.
A piece was suggested to go in the Witham Staple reminding drivers not to park on footpaths and also to trim your hedge if it encroached onto footpaths.
Road closures on Butts Lane and Church Road are to be enforced when resurfacing is carried out next month.
Clerk to look into Aubourn and Haddington possibly buying their own SID.
PLANNING
None.
CLOCK TOWER
The clock tower open days were discussed with dates and a request for WW1 artefacts to
be put in the Witham Staple.

The Audit forms were read out and duly signed. The cheques were agreed and signed.
The cheque for the insurance was signed outside of the meeting since it was due.
Cllr RESIGNATION
CLLR Mrs. Wetherill resigned. A notice was put up on noticeboards to advertise the
position. A resident came to the meeting and showed an interest.
CLERK RESIGNATION
The clerk is to resign and a new clerk has been appointed. There will be a hand over
period.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
CLLR Mrs. B. Bower has spoken to D. Booker of focus to arrange a meeting with
community regarding Dovecote Lane.
CLLR D. Knott reported that the state of the path between the Enterprise Centre and the
bridge was in a very bad state of repair.
The new electoral roles were given out to Cllrs.
