Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Wednesday 2nd July 2014 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, D. Knott, Mrs. B. Bower, Mrs S. Howe, Mrs. A. Hatfield, Mr S. Dinsdale & the Clerk.
There were 0 members of the public.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Police and Public Time
There were no Police present.
APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
No Apologies.
DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk and finances and Cllr Coulson for finances.
MINUTES OF LAST MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING
The minutes were read and duly signed by the chairman.
Mrs Allison Hatfield signed the contract to commence the position of new Parish Clerk.
Mr Simon Dinsdale will be co-opted in 2 weeks and will sign the paperwork.
Clerk read out police report.
NKDC REPORT
NKDC report was presented by Cllr. Mrs Howe.
Local activities can be found on the NKDC website.
NKDC are running a Community Champions on 11th September and is asking for nominations.
The next cluster meeting is at Hill Holt Wood on 15th September at 7.30pm.
HIGHWAYS MATTERS
A report of the site visit with Kyra Nettle was made by PW. A resident selling flowers was advised to display the signs on her own property and not highways land.
Clerk to email Aubourn Estates regarding a hedge being over the footpath on Church/ Royal Oak lane.
SID - there is no time issue regarding this possible purchase of our own one. Discussed whether to invite Thurlby to join us purchase it. Will discuss at Cluster. Look into possible grants.
PLANNING
Wind turbine at Lincoln Lane Farm was refused. Extension to property on Old Haddington Lane was seen as acceptable by PC.
CLOCK TOWER
The Heritage weekend is 13/14th September 2-4pm. There will be an additional exhibition to do with WW1 as this is the theme for the county this year. Tea and biscuits will be available.
Mr Woodcock has been contacted regarding the bells and we are awaiting a response.
