Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Wednesday 7th May 2014 in Aubourn Clock Tower
Following the Annual Parish Meeting
Present at the meeting
Chairman Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs. B. Bower, M. Coulson, D. Knott,N. Wetherill and the Clerk,
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
ELECTION TO COUNCIL POSITIONS
Election of Chairman
The clerk invited nominations for the position of chairman. Cllr. Mrs. Woodman was nominated by Cllr. M. Coulson and seconded by Cllr. D. Knott and was duly elected.
The chairman suggested that the role of vice chairman was not necessary and this was agreed.
APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
There were no apologies.
DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk.
MINUTES OF LAST MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING
The minutes from the last meeting were proposed by Cllr. Mrs Woodman and seconded by Cllr. Mr Coulson and agreed to be a true record. The minutes were then signed by the chairman.
There were no matters arising.
HIGHWAYS MATTERS
A notice was read out outlining future work to be carried out on the bridge on Blackmoor Road, Aubourn.
PLANNING
The application for 2 wind turbines at Mottrams Farm, Brant
Rd,Harmston was reconsidered. It was decided to object on the
grounds of visual amenity.
CLOCK TOWER
The Clock tower was hired out for a private function.
The maintenance work on the bells will start when Mr Woodcock
has an opportunity.
FINANCES
Insurance needs to be renewed with Came And Company.
Mr Kullich has kindly agreed to be the internal auditor.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
The electoral role paperwork was signed for the new electoral
roles.
Cluster meeting will take place on Monday 19th May at 7.30 at the
clock tower.

Wednesday 4th June at 7.30pm. Meeting closed at 10pm.
