ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Monday 9TH May 2016 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, D. Knott, S. Dinsdale & Cllr. Mrs. S. Howe & the Clerk.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting and then stood down from the chair.
The clerk then called for nominations for chairman.
Cllr Coulson proposed Cllr Mrs Woodman for Chairman and Cllr Knott seconded this. Cllr Mrs Woodman was duly elected as chairman.
The clerk then called for nominations for vice chairman and Cllr Knott proposed Cllr Coulson and Cllr Dinsdale seconded this. Cllr Coulson was duly elected as vice chairman.
Declarations were then signed.

Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk and finances.
Minutes of the Last Meeting and Matters Arising
These were read and duly signed.
The paperwork from the bank enabling Cllr Harston to be a signatory is ongoing. It was decided not to put a bin on Stone Lane after the polite notice asking for rubbish to be disposed of carefully was broken.
The church sign is still missing. The chain link fence is still ongoing. The traffic count on the bridge is still an unknown as to who issued it. The flower stall trolley on Royal Oak Lane is being parked on the paving surrounding the water pump. Cars are being parked on the Bassingham Road causing a hazard. The footpaths in Aubourn are being covered with overgrown grass.
NKDC Report
Cllr Mrs Howe reported that the Local Plan is in the final stage of consultation. The tourism Aviation trail celebrating 75th anniversary of “Wittle” is open. All local events are on the website. Cllr Coulson congratulated NKDC on their website.
Highways Matters
It was noted that there are pot holes on Dovecote Lane and a loose manhole cover by Bridge Cottage. There are cars racing round late at night.
PLANNING

CLOCK TOWER
Open Sundays are to be on May 15th, June 16st from 2-4pm. The Thurlby Artefacts, the Dovecote and refreshments to be held in conjunction with the June open Sunday.
The bells were rung in honour of the Queens birthday.
A kettle is to be purchased along with a teapot.
Cllr Coulson will attach the draft excluder to the door.
SID
The cheque written for the wrong amount to Bassingham Parish Council is to be cancelled and
another one written for our share of the new SID.
THE HUT
There has been a concern raised by a resident regarding the state and safety of the Hut. The
felt is coming off the roof and it is overgrown with vegetation. The clerk to email Aubourn
Estates and find out about the maintenance plan.
