Present at the meeting
Chairman Cllr. Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, F. Harston, Cllr Mrs S. Howe & the Clerk.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
1 Police Time
There was no Police Report.
2 Public Time
No members of the Public were present.
3 Apologies for Absence
Cllr Mrs M. Overton and D. Knott sent their apologies.
4 Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk.
5 Minutes of the Last Meeting
These were read, agreed and duly signed.
6 Matters Arising
There were no matters arising.

A letter of thanks was sent to Mr Kullich regarding the audit.
At the last meeting the assets register was reviewed and the street furniture was assessed during a site meeting.
Bus shelter‐ Aubourn and Haddington ‐ The white facia needs re‐painting.
Water pumps x 4 in A & H – They need rubbing down and re–painting.
The clerk placed an advert for a volunteer to carry out this work in the Witham Staple. Unfortunately there hasn’t been any interest yet.
Haddington’s noticeboard could do with replacing. The clerk asked HHW for a quote. We are waiting for this information.
10 Clock Tower
Cllr Coulson will make publicity signs and posters for the Heritage weekend. The clerk will organise refreshments. Cllr Harston will man the Dovecote and would like some information leaflets. The clerk will ask Aubourn estate office if a path can be strimmed around the Dovecote.
11 HIGHWAYS
The highways department have sent an email regarding new communication pathways, this is available to read on the website.
The footpath on Bridge Road needs to have weed killer applied.
There is a pothole on Royal Oak Lane.
The road is eroding on Sutton’s corner.
Manhole covers on Royal Oak Lane and Bridge Road continue to be loose.
The clerk contacted the Road safety partnership for some more speed limit signs. It was decided to purchase 2 x 40mph signs.
The church finger post sign is still missing.
Potholes on Church Road and bollards on Butts lane have been reported.
Overhanging tress are becoming a hazard. The clerk emailed all land owners to request attention for the particular trees.
The Royal Mail post boxes need re painting, this is a matter that is undertaken by Royal Mail.
12 Phone Box
The Clerk is to inquire to Came & Co for advice regarding a contract for the purchase and subsequent maintenance of the phone box.
13 AOB
The clerk will contact PC Nick Stenner regarding speeding vehicles‐ in particular a speed gun is required on Bassingham Road and Butts Lane.
