Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Monday 4th September 2017 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Cllr. Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, S. Dinsdale, D Knott, Cllr Mrs S. Howe, Cllr Mrs. M. Overton & the Clerk.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
1 Public Time
There were 6 members of the public. They spoke of a waste recycling site at South Hykeham which has been passed by the county council. They are unhappy about the risk of hazardous waste in close proximity to housing.
Also voiced was concern of speeding HGVs, especially on Blackmoor Road and the state of the highway.
2 Police Time
No police were present.
3 Apologies for Absence
Cllr Mr F. Harston sent his apologies.
4 Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk.
5 Minutes of the Last Meeting
These were read, agreed and duly signed.
6 Matters Arising
There were no matters arising.

9 FINANCES
The clerk gave the financial report.
It was decided that £150 remuneration would be given to Mr Goddard for the re painting of the water pumps and the bus shelters.

A letter of thanks is to be sent to Mr Goddard with a cheque for £150 for his work on the water pumps and the bus shelter.
10 Clock Tower
Cllr Coulson and Cllr Knott will man the Clock tower for the Heritage weekend. The clerk will organise refreshments. Cllr Dinsdale will man the Dovecote and will have some information leaflets and boards. The clerk will check that Aubourn estate office has strimmed around the Dovecote.
The clerk is to enquire about fire protection.
It was decided to enquire about purchasing a pair of steps so that the light bulbs can easily be changed.
11 HIGHWAYS
The footpath on Bridge Road needs to have weed killer applied.
The pothole on Royal Oak Lane has been filled.
The road is eroding on Sutton’s corner.
Manhole covers on Royal Oak Lane and Bridge Road continue to be loose.
The church finger post sign is still missing.
The woodland Trust took some trees down in the Sibsey as part of their maintenance plan.
