Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Monday 4th December 2017 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Cllr. Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, D. Knott, F. Harston, S. Dinsdale & the Clerk.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
1 Public Time
No public were present.
2 Police Time
No police were present. P.W relayed the report the chief constable gave at the cluster meeting.
3 Apologies for Absence
Cllr Mrs S. Howe sent apologies.
4 Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk.
5 Minutes of the Last Meeting
These were read, agreed and duly signed.
6 LCC Report & NKDC Report
The full LCC report is available to read on the website.
A report from Cllr Mrs Woodman spoke of the meat rendering plant wanting to move sites from Skellingthorpe to Norton Disney. There is a petition against the move and no planning application has been submitted. All local attractions and information are available online.
8 FINANCES
The clerk gave the financial report.
The Cllr’s decided the precept budget in readiness for the admission in January.
A copy of the breakdown is attached.
Points to note are that we no longer have to pay to have the dog waste bins emptied, we are
being audited by a new company so have allowed for a fee and to remember that the parish
council own and maintain all the street lights in Aubourn and Haddington.

9 Clock Tower
It was decided to purchase a pair of steps so that the light bulbs can easily be changed.
10 HIGHWAYS
Two street lights have been replaced on Bridge road.
Manhole covers on Royal Oak Lane and Bridge Road continue to be loose.
Haddington hedges need cutting.
Bollards on Butts Lane need attention.
A Noticeboard has been sourced and the clerk will send the link round.
Mr M. Lucas has volunteered to work the SID on Bassingham road.
11 AOB
Investigate the plan for street lights.
Sign on ROL right turn has a bulb out.
Thanks to Cllr Dinsdale for decorating the Christmas tree.
