ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Wednesday 15TH April 2015 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, D. Knott, S. Dinsdale & F. Harston, PCSO Mackie & the Clerk. There were 3 members of the public.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Police and Public Time
PCSO Jo Mackie/Sarah Lingard reported an overview of the police activity over the last year. Also reported was that Sgt Ken Whyte will be heading up the beat team for the coming year while Sgt Hammond is away.
Minutes of Last Year’s Annual Parish Meeting and Matters Arising
These were read and duly signed. There were no matters arising.

NKDC Report
Cllr Mrs Woodman gave an annual report.
Public Forum
Subjects covered by the public were:
Cars parking on the pavements in Aubourn
Volume of traffic, particularly lorries.
Speed of lorries.
State of highway especially Suttons Corner.
Chairman’s Report
Cllr Mrs Woodman gave a report for the past year.
The Annual Parish meeting was declared closed at 8.20pm.

Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk and finances.
Minutes of Last Meeting & Matters Arising
The minutes were read and duly signed by the chairman.
Highways Matters
It was noted that there is serious road erosion at Suttons Corner, Aubourn, by the pond on Butts lane, Haddington, by the substation on Harmston Rd and at the corner of South Hykeham road. There is a pot hole by the gate at the Old Vicarage on Church Rd and a loose manhole cover by Bridge Cottage. These are to be reported to LCC again. White lines are faded at Butts
Lane junction and Bridge Road junction. It was suggested that passive speed signs could also be
placed on Dovecote Lane and Main St, Haddington. The clerk is to investigate buying more
signs.
PLANNING
The planning application 15/2100/FUL Hall Farm, Aubourn was reported as refused.
CLOCK TOWER
The bells were rung again and the ringers gave a donation to the clock tower.
Open Sundays are to be on May 17th, June 21st and 19th July from 2-4pm.
A light needs to be put into the clock room. The clerk is to contact an electrician to carry out the
work. A sign stating that the public can go up and down the tower but at their own risk is to be
put up the bottom of the stairs. The clerk is to look into the insurance policy regarding the
public climbing the clock tower stairs and the safety of the bells to be rung.
