ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Monday 1st June 2015 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, D. Knott, S. Dinsdale & F. Harston, Cllr Mrs S. Howe & the Clerk. There was 1 member of the public.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
The member of the public said that he hadn’t got any wheelie bin stickers. The clerk duly issued some.
Apologies for Absence
None.
Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk and finances.
Minutes of the Last Meeting and Matters Arising
These were read and duly signed. A light still needs to be installed in the clock tower clock room. The clerk is to continue enquiries to get quotes from electricians.
NKDC Report
Cllr Mrs Howe gave a report which included information about the events happening at Bomber Command on Cannick Hill. The Info Links at North Kesteven Sports Centre will close whilst the refurbishment continues. Alan Thomas Chief Executive of NKDC retired after 27 years. The Cluster meeting will be held on Monday 15th June at Brant Broughton Village Hall.
Highways Matters
A site meeting has been arranged for Tuesday 23rd June at 11 am with Alan Brown and Steve Welsh. They will be joined by Cllrs Woodman and Harston and the clerk to look at the state of the roads, paths and signs.
PLANNING
The planning application 15/0341/FUL 6 holiday lodges at Cathedral View Caravan Park was looked at and discussed and the council concurred that they had no objections.
The planning application 15/0357/HOUS Wainwrights’ Cottage, Haddington was reported as granted.
CLOCK TOWER
Open Sundays are to be on June 21st and 19th July from 2-4pm. A white elephant stall and refreshments are to be held in conjunction with the June open Sunday. Cllr Coulson is to organise the white elephant stall. The Clerk is to organise the refreshments & Cllr Mrs Woodman is to organise the raffle.
A working party of the Cllrs is to assemble in the church yard at 2pm on Saturday 6th June to prune trees and bushes. The window protectors also will be looked at as they need repairing.
Village responsibilities are to be shared out between the Cllrs. Cllr Knott will observe Hawthorn Corner and Royal Oak Lane. Cllr Dinsdale is to observe Chapel Lane and Blackmoor and Harmston Road. Cllr Coulson is to observe Bassingham Road and Bridge Road. Cllr Harston will observe Haddington. Cllr Mrs Woodman will continue to oversee the clock tower.
FINANCES
Cllr Mrs Woodman reported that the heritage exhibition needed some refurbishment. New cartridge paper used to mount the photographs and articles is required. This was agreed.
