AUBOURN AND HADDINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Monday 2nd November 2015 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson & F. Harston & the Clerk.

Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Police time
PCSO reported that a road sign had been knocked down in Haddington.
Public Time
There is a large pot hole on Chapel Lane, clerk to report it to the highways dept.
A number of cars parking over footpaths making it difficult to safely pass. The PCSO said she would put notices on windscreens if she saw parking causing a obstruction.
The member of the public voiced his objection to the planning application 15/1294/FUL a discussion ensued and it was agreed that there was little difference to the application submitted last year so his objections remain the same.

Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk and finances. Cllr Coulson declared an interest in the finances.
Minutes of the Last Meeting and Matters Arising
These were read and duly signed.
NKDC Report
Cllr. Mrs. Woodman reported on the Local Plan reminding people to comment before the end November. Devolution talks are continuing with 10 authorities throughout Lincolnshire.
Whisby will be having a Christmas fare. All local attractions information are available online. NK sports centre refurb continues to progress and is scheduled to be completed in the spring.
NKDC will begin the budget process in the next few weeks.
Highways Matters
The SID sign has been repaired and each parish will pay £46 towards the total
cost of £332.60. Bassingham PC has kindly agreed to pay the bill in the first
instance with the other, smaller parishes reimbursing Bassingham pc.
Suttons Corner road surface has been repaired. The manhole cover outside
Bridge Cottage has not been repaired and will be reported again.
The repairs on the bridge are causing concerns for the safety of the workers. The
clerk to email highways regarding this worry.
A sign post in Aubourn at the corner of church lane has a finger missing. The
hedges are still in need of attention and the clerk will continue to try and rectify
this with the hedge owners.
The work on Aubourn Bridge has commenced. This will be completed in
approximately 10 weeks the road will be closed for 8 days from the 20th
November.
There is a new information noticeboard for the Dovecote, situated in the parking
area on Dovecote Lane.
PLANNING
Planning application 15/1294/FUL has been resubmitted. The parish council are
to object to the application.
CLOCK TOWER
It was hired out for a party on 31 October for a total of £24.
Clerk to look into getting the heaters serviced. The clock is not striking, Cllr
Coulson is going to try to fix it. Cllr Mrs Woodman has emailed Chris Woodcock
regarding bell ringing tuition.
FINANCES
The clerk is to get a signatory form for Cllr Harston.
A donation of £25 is to be made to the British Legion.

Individual Cllr report
Cllr Coulson reported 2 streetlights are out.
Cllr Mrs Woodman suggested that we approach the Cluster about purchasing
another SID. The clerk is to find out the cost.
