AUBOURN AND HADDINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on
Monday 6th February 2017 in Aubourn Clock Tower
At 7.30pm
Present at the meeting
Chairman Cllr. Mrs. P. Woodman MBE, Cllrs M. Coulson, D. Knott, F. Harston & the Clerk.
Cllr. Mrs Woodman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Police Time
There has been no reported crime.
Public Time
There were 2 members of the Public were present.
The phone box in Aubourn is to be decommissioned and the phone is to be removed. The parish council have the opportunity to buy the phone box for £1. The members of the public would like to organise a group to maintain the phone box as the parish council do not wish to have this responsibility. The village members wish to put a defibrillator into the remaining box. They would raise the money needed. The parish council would look into the insurance.
Apologies for Absence
Cllr Sue Howe sent her apologies.
Declaration of Interests
Cllr. Mrs Woodman declared an interest in items relating to the clerk.
Minutes of the Last Meeting
These were read and an amendment made to include Butts Lane on the individual Cllr report by Cllr Harston, agreed and duly signed.
Matters Arising
There were no matters arising.
NKDC Report
A report from Cllr. Mrs. Woodman was read out stating that all local attractions and information are available online.
FINANCES
Breakdown on separate sheet.
The clerk has requested a VAT rebate of £1,045.
PLANNING
There is no objection for planning ref: 17/0114/HOUS ( Baileys Lane Haddington)
HIGHWAYS
The clerk is to report the following potholes:
Church Road
Bridge Road
Harmston Road
Stone Lane
Footpath on Bridge Road
Cllr Harston and Knott will meet with the woodland Trust to discuss the tree management.
CLOCK TOWER
Mr Ogg will continue to cut the church yard grass.
The clerk will order more gas for heating the clock tower.
Cllr Coulson changed the light bulb and will be reimbursed £5 at the next meeting.
The Open Sunday’s dates are to be confirmed.
INDIVIDUAL CLLRS REPORT
Cllr Harston‐ reported that he has received abuse from drivers when he challenged them as to why they were using an access only road on Dovecote lane. Also the verge leading from Haddington to Thurlby is much littered. The clerk will notify NKDC.
Cllr Knott‐ reported that the verge on Royal Oak lane is badly churned up and requested another email to LCC highways regarding the church finger post.
Clerk is to find out about dog waste bins from NKDC. Also to email police regarding speed gun.
