Welcome |
Councillor Mosedale welcomed everyone to the meeting |
|
Public Time |
There was 1 member of the public in attendance who had concerns about various types of vehicles using the footpath on Sky Lane/Old Haddington Lane.
The member of the public also had issues with the site on Sky Lane Haddington. The site does not appear to be being used for the planning purposes granted in the planning application in 2010 and instead along with the DPD depot appears to have become a breakers yard where the vehicles are being used in the evenings and weekends for joy riding purposes causing much noise nuisance.
The DPD depot users also have no regard for speed limits etc when entering and exiting the site.

Chairman’s Report |
Councillor Mosedale discussed the traffic figures which clearly indicated a speeding issue. He proposed on the forthcoming asset walk, the Councillor looked at possible sites for new signage and discussed pursuing reducing the speed limit on certain roads. Following the accident at Haddington Corner on 24th June, the road traffic signage is yet to be replaced and the pavement has not been repaired. Also, the backplate to the speed indicator sign went missing at the time of the accident. Two parishioners have expressed an interest in joining the parish council. Cllr Mosedale proposed holding an extraordinary meeting in August to see both parishioners individually for an informal interview with the view to co-opt at the next meeting in September. Seconded by Cllr Mrs Woodman and agreed. |
